I was hoping you could give me a two-page essay on why I want to be in culinary based on my Pov.

So our chef expects us to take the initiative to be on task when we weren't told or at least said to be waited on. No, we have to write a 2-page essay bc we're on our phones but the problem is I'm a great student in culinary and he doesn't trust me that's the problem.

And please nice don't say anything bad.

Just ask your chef personally why you have to write if you haven't done anything wrong in the situation. Also if it's not a grade then he/she just wants you to do it as a consequence and not as education. The chefs job is to teach you how to cook not how to write essays.
