Convert the following to slope-intercept form and find the zero

10x-7y=-8

I need someone to explain to me how to do this pls! the find the zero part confuses me so much and I don’t understand it.

Answer:

10x - 7y = -8

make y the subject

7y = 10x + 8

divide through by 7

y =
(10)/(7)x +
(8)/(7)

to find the zero make the equate it to zero and solve for x

0 =
(10)/(7)x +
(8)/(7)


(10)/(7)x = -
(8)/(7)

divide through by 10/7

x = -0.8, -4/5
