119.39 is the amount covered in brick.

the full path has an area of 125.05 (4.1x30.5). each square has an area of 1.44 (1.2^2). there are 4 squares so the flowery area is 5.76 total. subtract the flowers from the brick (125.05-5.76) and get your answer of 119.39
