(2x)/(9x) =(10)/(45)

cross multiply...

2x * 45 = 9x * 10

90x = 90x

yes, they will be proportional!

you can even do it without the X, i just put x in to make it clearer.

45 / 9 = 5

^ 45 and 9 were the denominators, we divide and get 5

Now for the numerators


10 / 2 = 5

^ 10 and 2 we're the numerators, dividing also gave 5
