First you would multiply everything in the recipe by 3/4, since 12 * 3/4 = 9.
480 * 3/4 = 360 g flour
60 * 3/4 = 45 g caster sugar
200 * 3/4 = 150 ml milk
1 * 3/4 = 3/4 of an egg
50 * 3/4 = 37.5 g butter
100 * 3/4 = 75 g currant

b)
500/200 =2.5

12 * 2.5 = 30 hot cross buns
