a. The probability that Martha will grab a bag of potato chips is 5/11 or 45.45%.

b. The probability that Jamie will grab a bag of potato chips out of the box next is 4/10 or 40%.

c. This is a dependent event because Martha's choice of a bag of potato chips affects the probability of Jamie's choice. If Martha chooses a bag of potato chips, then there are 4 bags of potato chips remaining in the box, so Jamie's probability of choosing a bag of potato chips is 4/10 or 40%. If Martha chooses a bag of Doritos or Cheetos, then there are 5 bags of potato chips remaining in the box, so Jamie's probability of choosing a bag of potato chips is 5/10 or 50%.
