with the added information that 8 students passed both we can say:

(x + x + 6) - 8 = 60

2x + 6 = 68

2x = 62

The question does not make it clear if it is asking for students who *only* passed Ga, or students who passed Ga + those who passed both. I'll assume the former though. Otherwise the answer would be 37 + 8 = 45 students
