I believe that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. should be recognized for his contributions to history during National Black History Month. He was a passionate leader of the civil rights movement and fought for equality and justice for all people. He was instrumental in helping to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, or national origin. His “I Have a Dream” speech is considered one of the most influential speeches ever delivered. He also influenced people of all races to work together towards the goal of racial equality. He was a powerful and inspiring leader who will be remembered for generations to come.
