2x + 4y = 2

Consider Equation 1:- (3x+2y=5)

Multiply both sides by 2
2(3x + 2y) = 5*2
6x + 4y = 10

Subtract both equations-
6x + 4y =10
-2x + 4y =2

=> 4x =8
x = 2

Substitute the value of x in equation 1

3*2 + 2y = 5
6 + 2y = 5
2y = 5-6
2y = (-1)

y = (-1/2)
