Clare says, “This classroom is 11 meters long. A meter is longer than a yard, so if I measure the length of this classroom in yards, I will get less than 11 yards.” Do you agree with Clare? Explain your reasoning.

I agree with Clare's statement. A meter is slightly longer than a yard, at approximately 1.094 yards. Therefore, if you measure the length of the classroom in yards, you will get a number that is less than 11 yards. For example, if the classroom is 11 meters long, it would be approximately 12 yards long.
