Measure of length in scale drawing = Measure of actual length

6 inches = 24 feet

1 inch =
(24)/(6) feet


Unit multiplier applied:

∴1 inch in scale drawing = 4 feet of actual measurement


Measure of width in scale drawing = Measure of actual width

x inches = 40 feet

∴ x inches = (40 feet) × (
(1 inch)/(4 feet))

Measure of width in scale drawing = 10 inches
