Explanation:

So in order to find out how much he needs to sell, let's find out what the target is. We do that by working options A.

$19 for 40 hours

40 * 19 = 760

Now that we have 760, we know this amount is 8%. Next we setup a ratio

(760)/(x) = (8\%)/(100\%)

We cross multiply

8x = (760)(100)

8x = 76000

Last but not least, we divide by 8 on both sides

x = 9500
