The “Big Six” were key activist in the Civil Rights movement. The “Big Six” consisted of Martin Luther King Jr., James Farmer, John Lewis, A. Philip Randolph, Roy Wilkins and Whitney Young. These leaders were really important in organizing the March on Washington along with other major events. Malcolm X also played a fundamental role in this movement along with the Black Panthers
