Given

Total pound coffee create = 70

Find

How many pounds of each kind of coffee should they mix?

Step-by-step explanation

Let x = pounds of Queen City coffee blend

y = pounds of Kona Blend.

accordig to the question ,

the new mix is 70 pounds

so , x + y = 70 ..................(1)

and sells for $ 8.65 per pound

so , 8.30x + 13.20y = 70*8.65.............(2)

solve equation 1 and 2

\begin{gathered} x+y=70 \\ 8.30x+13.20y=605.5 \end{gathered}

on solving these linear equation , we obtain

x=65,y=5

Final Answer

Therefore , 65 pounds of the Queen City Blend and 5 pounds of the Kona Blend.
