Explanation:

Each figure to the right has 3 more block than the previous figure.

Figure 1: 1 + 3 × 0

Figure 2: 4 = 1 + 3 × 1

Figure 3: 7 = 1 + 3 × 2

Figure 4: 10 = 1 + 3 × 3

Figure 5: 13 = 1 + 3 × 4

Notice the pattern.

Each figure, you add 1 to the product of 3 and 1 less than the figure number.

Figure 50:

Add 1 to the product of 3 and 1 less than the figure number which is 50, so you have 1 + 3 × 49 = 148

Answer: 148
