Transformation as a change of state, is the transition from one state to another.

the difference is that in nuclear fusion, energy is released when the nuclei of atoms combine or fuse with each other to form a larger nucleus. This is how the sun produces energy. In nuclear fission, nuclei separate to form smaller nuclei, releasing energy.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Nuclear fusion is the joining of two small atomic nuclei into a single nucleus.

While nuclear fission is the spitting of a large atomic nucleus into smaller ones or fragments.

The scientific meaning of transformation also in my own words, is basically a change, just like how a caterpillar transforms into a moth or butterfly. One form to another.
