Omar owns a sandwich shop, and his best selling sandwich is the BLT. When making BLT sandwiches, it takes 3/4 of a pound of bacon to make 4 sandwiches. He uses pounds 1 1/20of bacon for every 2 tomatoes used and 5 tomatoes for every full head of lettuce used.

If Omar is making enough BLT sandwiches to use 2 full heads of lettuce, then he is going to use
pounds of bacon and will make a total of
BLT sandwiches.

Answer: 5 1/4 pounds of bacon and make a total of 7 BLT sandwiches.

To determine the amount of bacon Omar will use and the number of BLT sandwiches he will make, we need to follow these steps:

1. Calculate the amount of bacon used per sandwich:

- It takes 3/4 of a pound of bacon to make 4 sandwiches.

- Divide 3/4 pound by 4 to find the amount of bacon used per sandwich: 3/4 ÷ 4 = 3/16 pound of bacon per sandwich.

2. Calculate the amount of bacon used for 2 full heads of lettuce:

- We know that 5 tomatoes are used for every full head of lettuce.

- Since Omar is using 2 full heads of lettuce, he will need 2 * 5 = 10 tomatoes.

- For every 2 tomatoes used, Omar uses 1 1/20 pounds of bacon.

- Divide the 10 tomatoes by 2 to find the number of times Omar needs to use 2 tomatoes: 10 ÷ 2 = 5.

- Multiply 5 by 1 1/20 to find the amount of bacon used for 2 full heads of lettuce: 5 * 1 1/20 = 5 5/20 = 5 1/4 pounds of bacon.

3. Calculate the number of BLT sandwiches made:

- Divide the total amount of bacon used (5 1/4 pounds) by the amount of bacon used per sandwich (3/16 pound): (5 1/4) ÷ (3/16) = (21/4) ÷ (3/16).

- Invert the divisor and multiply: (21/4) * (16/3) = 21 * 16 / 4 * 3 = 84 / 12 = 7.

- Omar will make a total of 7 BLT sandwiches.

Therefore, Omar will use 5 1/4 pounds of bacon and make a total of 7 BLT sandwiches.
