Explanation:

let the angle be x then its complement is 90 - x ( complementary angles sum to 90° )

the angle x is 86.8° less than its complement , so

x - 86.8 = 90 - x ( add x to both sides )

2x - 86.8 = 90 ( add 86.8 to both sides )

2x = 176.8 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 88.4

and 90 - x = 90 - 88.4 = 1.6

the 2 angle measures are 88.4° and 1.6°
