The molar mass of carbon is 12.01 g/mol. To convert from moles of carbon to mass, we must multiply 0.045 moles by 12.01 g/mol. This gives us 0.54045 g of carbon.

To convert from mass to moles of potassium, we must divide 525.0 g by the molar mass of potassium, which is 39.10 g/mol. This gives us 13.40 moles of potassium.
