Kayla sells candy bars and cans of soda. She charges $3 for candy bars and $I for soda. Yesterday she sold 70 items altogether and lEarned $100. How much candy did she sell? How much soda?

Answer: 15 candies and 55 sodas

Step-by-step explanation: C = candies , S = sodas

3c +1s = $100

total candies + total sodas = 70

subtract

3c -c = 100-70

2c = 30

c = 30/2 ...meaning 15 candies were sold

sodas = 70-15.... meaning 55 sodas were sold
