27 + 9x

could also be

9x + 27 (I like this better)

Explanation:

Distributive Property is a multiplying thing. The 9 on the outside of the parenthesis is being multiplied times the whole parenthesis. So 9 times the 3 AND ALSO 9 times the x.

9(3 + x)

= 9•3 + 9•x

= 27 + 9x this is exactly, just using Distributive Property

27 + 9x
