The Melting Point of a sample of water is -2°c. Suggest why this is.

One way to increase the melting point of water is to increase the pressure above about 635 MPa. By increasing the pressure, you may get the melting point to be even higher than the normal boiling point.

Another way is to lower the pressure, but this can only increase the melting point by 0.01K.
