Answer:

x= 13

y= 28.5

Explanation:

-6x+4y= 36 (1)

-5x+4y= 49 (2)

From (1) :

4y= 6x+26
y= 1.5x+9 (3)

sub (3) into (2) :

-5x+4(1.5x+9)= 49

-5x+6x+36= 49

x=13 (4)

sub (4) into (3) :

y=1.5(13)+9

= 28.5
