Given :-

  • AB and CD are straight lines segments.

To find:-

  • The value of "y" .

Answer:-

Firstly as we know that the measure of a straight line is 180° . The given line is made up of 3 angles , which are 47° , y° and one right angle i.e. 90°.

So the sum of all these angles will be 180° as these are the angles of a straight line.

So that,

\implies 47^o + y^o + 90^o = 180^o\\

\implies 137^o + y^o = 180^o \\

\implies y^o = 180^o-137^o\\

\implies \underline{\underline{ y = 43}} \\

Hence the value of y is 43 .

and we are done!
