A scientific theory is a well tested and widely accepted explanation of observations and experimental results. Multiple experiments are necessary before a theory is accepted , to reduce errors and increase reliability of the results of the experiment.

When the scientists investigate the hypothesis, they follow a line of reasoning and eventually formulate a theory. Once a theory has been tested thoroughly and is accepted, it becomes a scientific law.
