for India has a radius of 8.7 cm. If 4% of the world's population is in United States, what
percentage of the world's population is in India? Round to the nearest percent.

Answer: 17%

Explanation:

So, the formula to get the area of a circle is
\pi r^(2).

USA:
4.2^(2) \pi = 55.42cm

India:
8.7^2\pi = 237.79cm

From this, we can divide India by USA:

237.79 / 55.42 = 4.291

Then, with that we can multiply our 4% by 4.291:

4 * 4.291 = 17.16400

Rounded to the nearest percent is 17%
