Explanation:

you will first find out how many hours it will take for each gardener to do 1 part of the job. gardener 1 is 1/6 and the second is 1/7. you will next add the two fractions. this will equal 13/42. you will then multiply by the reciprocal to get 1, this stands for the whole job done together. The reciprocal is the answer, 42/13. You will then simplify that to 3 3/13 hours.
