I need help describing someone trying to contain their laughter and then failing.
For example, I need -> Delilah was suddenly filled with the urge to laugh but tried to hold it in. As she tried to remain calm and serious, she suddenly burst into laughter and couldn't utter a word gasping for breath. Everyone began to look at her with confusion. While gasping, she said, "That's what he thinks about you! He told me he doesn't even know you!"

Something similar to that, please help fast though.

Here's my crack at it:

Jack tried his best to contain his laughter, but the thought that crossed his mind was too funny. He covered his mouth and tried to turn away, but the more he tried to hold it in, the more it bubbled up inside him. Suddenly, he let out a loud burst of laughter, surprising everyone in the room. He clutched his stomach, tears streaming down his face, as he struggled to catch his breath. Despite the strange looks from his colleagues, he couldn't stop laughing and had to step out of the room to compose himself.
