Answer:

As P(M) = 0.45

P(F) = 1-0.45 = 0.55

P(Both students are male) = 0.45 x 0.45 = 0.2025 = 0.203 (cor to 3 dp)

P(Both students are female) = (1-0.45) x (1-0.45) = 0.55 x 0.55 = 0.3025 = 0.303 (cor to 3 dp)

P(First student male and second female) = 0.45 x 0.55 = 0.2475 = 0.248 (cor to 3 dp)

hope this helps!!!
