Answer is YES he has enough money

Step by step

Find total area of garden path
A = L x W

A = 800 x 120

A = 96,000 sq cm garden path

Now find area of paving square

A = L x W

A = 40 x 40

A = 1600 sq cm paving square

Now to find how many squares, divide total Area of path by total area of square

96,000 / 1600 = 60 paving squares

Now to find cost

Cost is 60 paving squares x £4.50 each

Cost = 60 x £4.50

Cost = £270.

Ziad has £280 to spend which is more than £270 cost of paving stones so

YES he has enough money
