Using Pythagoras, we'd need two sides. We're actually able to find the base of the smaller triangle by doing 27-20. We get 7.

Now we have two sides; 7 and 25, now we just need h

Pythagoras states:


{a}^(2) + {b}^(2) = {c}^(2)

Where c is the hypotenuse.

Plugging everything in we get


{7}^(2) + {b}^(2) = {25}^(2)

This also equals 49 + B^2 = 625

Next we will subtract 49 on both sides

B^2 = 576.

Last but not least, we take the square root

B = ✓576 = 24
