Here we go ~

As per the given information,

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: k {}^(*) = k(k-1)

we need to find the value of k* when k = 5 ~

So, simply plug in the value ~

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: 5 {}^(*) = 5(5-1)

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: 5 {}^(*) = 5(4)

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: 5 {}^(*) = 20

So, our required value is 20 ~

Answer: 20

Work Shown:

k* = k(k-1)

5* = 5(5-1)

5* = 5(4)

5* = 20
