A + B + C = 180 deg

And the sides:

Well, we don't know yet

Let's solve for x:

Since all the sides are equal (and there are three sides) we can do 180 / 3 to find each angle. So, each angle is 60 deg

6x = 60

Divide both sides by 6:

x = 10

Now for the sides:

x + 8 = BC

10 + 8 = BC

BC = 18

Since all the sides are equal, AB = 18 as well!
