When your divisor is a decimal number and your dividend is a whole number, what do we need to do before we can begin dividing?

Shift your decimal to the left and do the same to your dividend.

Shift your decimal point to the right to make it a whole number. Then multiply your dividend the same number of times.

Don't shift anything.

Bring your decimal up to the quotient line. You don't need to do anything else.

Answer:

Bring your decimal up to the quotient line. You don't need to do anything else.

Explanation:

in order to divide a decimal number by a whole number, you long divide as you would with two whole numbers, but put the decimal point in the answer at the same place it is at in the dividend.

im pretty sure this is right, good luck! :)
