Answer: Eggs form in the ovaries of a female while developing in the womb. Once Ovulation occurs, the egg releases from the ovary and goes down the fallopian tube into the uterus where it waits for sperm to come and fertilize it. If the egg is not fertilized, the uterus will shed with the egg which results in a period.
