Answer: When God created our world in 2500 BC everything was perfect but unfortunately Adam and Eve sinned in the garden and from that moment this world became very sinful so in 2166 BC God told Noah to build an ark and Noah spent 100 years preaching about a flood that was to come on the earth as judgement for their sins but since it had never rained at that time no one believed him so when the time came to go into the ark only 8 people entered along with different types of animals and the flood came and completely turned this world upside down and it separated continents that is why you see mountains and lines in the rocks ( Grand Canyon National Park is a great example) this is the mark that lets us know that something great happend long ago so it is true that geological history have resulted chiefly from sudden violent and unusual events. and those unusal events were the flood you can find this story in Genesis chapters 6 -9.
