her hand clap echo off the school building. If it takes 1.78 s from the time she claps her hands to the time she
hears the acho, how far away is the building?

The speed of sound in air at 28.5°C is approximately 340 m/s. So, we can calculate the distance by using the formula:
distance = speed * time
distance = 340 * 1.78
distance = 602.2 m
So, the building is approximately 602.2 meters away from the kids
