Explanation:

If mLCDE = 38°, then mLDC = 180° - 38° = 142°.Since angle LDC bisects angle LCDE, the measure of angle DCB is half the measure of angle LDC, or 71°.So, m2CDB = 71° and mzBDE = mLCDE - m2CDB = 38° - 71° = -33°.
