If you graphed y> 3x+ 14, you would see that the right side of the coordinate grid would be left blank and empty while the left side would be colored within a dotted line which would be y=3x+ 14. We will call those regions B and C. When you graph y<3x+2 you would see that this time the left side of the coordinate grid would be left blank and the right would be colored in. If you then graph both y> 3x+ 14 and y<3x+2 you would see that only region B is left blank. Therefore, region B would be the solutions for the system of the two inequalities.
