Kristen works for Lincoln Canning Company. She wants to make labels for several cans like the one shown below, only covering the lateral surface area. She is going to cut them from a sheet of plastic film that has an area of 2,265 square inches.

6 inches . 5 inches

What is the maximum number of labels she could make assuming there is minimal film wasted?

She can make 75 labels. The answer is really 75.5 but you cannot get half a label. The math is simple do 6 times 5 to get 30 square inches. Then devide 2,265/30=75.5
