In Cartesian or rectangular coordinate system we represent any point using the ordered pair (x,y) . Similarly in polar coordinate system we represent any point using the ordered pair (r,θ), where r is the distance from origin and θ is the angle made by the line joining origin and the point with x-axis measured in anti-clockwise direction.
