to make it easier, turn the fractions into improper ones.
On Monday, she ran 8/3
On Wednesday, she ran 11/6 more than previously:

11/6 of 8/3
11/6 * 8/3 = 44/9

you add it to how much she ran on Monday
11/6+44/9 = 6 13/18
