Building muscle is important in growing children, you do this through hard contact and heavy resistance. However building muscle could cause extreme strain on young muscles, tendons, or cartilage that hasn’t over gone ossification (turned to bone.) This could compromise physical growth within the epiphyseal plates, furthermore hindering the child’s physical development.
