on the last three physics exams a student scored 90.87. and 89. what score just the student earn on the next exam to have an average 90?

Answer: 94

Explanation:

First 3 exams are: 90, 87 & 89.

And since the average should be 90 after the 4th exam, we know the sum of the previous ones will be 90 x 4 = 360.

So,

90+87+89+n = 360

=> n = 94.
