Help ASAP. Seventh grade math!!

In February of 2006, there was a
record snowfall of 26.9 inches in one
day in New York City. The normal
snowfall for the month of February in
New York City is 8.5 inches and March
is 5.1 inches. How much more snow
fell in the one day storm in 2006 than
normally falls in February and March
combined

Since 8.5 fell in February and 5.1 fell in March. We can add these two numbers together to see what the total is combined normally.

8.5 + 5.1 = 13.6

The record was 26.9, so we'll take this number and subtract it from 13.6 to see how much more fell in one day than the normal

26.9-13.6= 13.3
