Check the picture below.

\cfrac{x}{1225}=\cfrac{2035}{2950}\implies \cfrac{x}{1225}=\cfrac{407}{590}\implies x=\cfrac{(1225)(407)}{590}\implies x=\cfrac{99715}{118}~ft

now, we know your strolling speed is 200 ft per minute or 200 ft per 60 seconds, so how long for that distance above?

\begin{array}{ccll} feet&seconds\\ \cline{1-2} 200&60\\[1em] (99715)/(118)&y \end{array}\implies \cfrac{200}{ ~ (99715)/(118)~ } =\cfrac{60}{y}\implies \cfrac{200}{1}\cdot \cfrac{118}{99715}=\cfrac{60}{y} \implies \cfrac{4720}{19943}=\cfrac{60}{y} \\\\\\ 4720y=(19943)(60)\implies y=\cfrac{(19943)(60)}{4720}\implies y\approx 254~seconds

please if anyone could help me out with this question and a couple of others that-example-1
