Answer:
The Oregan Trail.
Step-by-step explanation:
It was burning hot on the wagon ride home through The Oregon Trail. As the horses galloped through, we were bouncing up and down due to the trail being very rough and rocky. I was sweating up a storm due to the 90-degree weather, by the time I come home I'd have a fever! The horses started picking up the pace, it was getting very bumpy with every step they took. They were on a full-on sprint, I had no idea why until I looked back and I saw a herd of bulls dashing toward us. The horses ran off the trail, and right before they did one of the bulls rammed into the wagon throwing me out of it. I couldn't believe what happened. I was bruised all over. The horses ran off into the distance, I was left behind. In the middle of nowhere. What was I supposed to do? Walk 16 hours home? I was stranded. I looked for anything, anyone. But nothing was in sight. I sighed, I started walking on the boiling trail thinking to myself, why would this happen to me? what did I do to deserve this? an hour later I saw a sign, it said, "nearest rest area, 20 miles" that was far but I think I could make it. I had no water or any kind of food. *20 miles later* I finally arrived it was a run-down inn, great. Just my luck. I scavenged around the inn for any food or water, I found some cans of fruit and a pack of water. I also found a bag I could use to store everything. I was overwhelmed with joy. I looked for anything I could use for communication but I couldn't find anything. I continued walking with a smile on my face, but that smile was quickly wiped away when I heard the herd of bulls again, I quickly hid behind a shrub and waited for them to pass by. I was tired. I was determined to get home to my wife, Susan, and my 2 kids, John, and Sarah. As I thought about the thought of getting back to them the horses came back into view I came up with a great plan to get back on top of the horses. as they came galloping towards me I waited for the perfect time to jump and latch on their back, the time came and I jumped and prayed I'd get on. And I did! I successfully got on the horse's back. The sky was cleared up and the horses were galloping in the wind, the cool breeze hit my face, thank god I took those horse riding classes. the ride home felt smooth like nothing was gonna happen at all. *13 hours later*. I was close to home, I was in my neighborhood. I started to hear shots, and they were fired at me! I looked around to see who shot them, and it was a man I owed money to. He was screaming, "Give me the money I gave you, you owe big time!" I glared at him, I couldn't believe the chain of events this day was leading to. Unarmed I ran away to my house. My kids were asleep it was around 4 am. He was running right after me shooting at me, I quickly shut the door, and locked it. When I got inside, I was shaking, I was so scared. He busted through the window shattering it, yelling, "give me my money! Your past the deadline buddy!". I kicked him in the face, My wife came down screaming, "What in the world is going on!" He took a glance at her grabbed his gun, and shot at her, it hit her arm. She came toppling down the stairs, screaming. I was furious I started throwing punches until he wasn't moving. The police came bursting through my door and they were yelling," Is everyone okay?!" I told them," He's over here, please help my wife first. she got shot in her arm, and she's bleeding a lot." They picked him up walking him to the doorway. he looked back hoarsely shouting at me," I'll kill you, I'll kill you all! You won't get away with this I'll get my money!" I looked at my wife as she went into the transportation wagon I yelled to her," everything's going to be okay, I love you!". I looked up the stairs to see my 2 kids, with fear in their eyes. I walked up to them and gave them a big hug. I told them you're safe, "it's okay. No one's gonna hurt you. Not on my watch.
