I mean, i'm sorry for a not very formal answer, but the invention of all these new machines led to massive amounts of CO2 emissions which definitely had a negative effect on society because it led/leads to climate change and pollution.

Answer:

One of the negative effects of the Industrial Revolution was the working conditions in factories, which were often dangerous and unhealthy. Workers were often exposed to hazardous materials and worked long hours for low pay in cramped and dirty conditions. Additionally, the factory system led to the displacement of traditional craftsmen and the exploitation of child labor. The exploitation of resources and workers also had a negative environmental impact, leading to air and water pollution.
