Answer: 16

Explanation:

To get from 3 to 12, you multiply by 4

To get from 5 to 20, you multiply by 4

So you just multiply 4 by 4 to get x

Answer:

x = 16

Explanation:

since the triangles are similar then the ratios of corresponding sides are in proportion, that is

(x)/(4) =
(20)/(5) = 4 ( multiply both sides by 4 to clear the fraction )

x = 16
