Answer: Unitary has all of the power in the central govt, while federal has the power spread through the branches.

Explanation: Unitary governments is a system of government that a single power controls WHOLE the government. In a unitary system the power is in central government. Federal govt has the powers SPREAD through the branches. Unitary systems have that states can't pass separate laws, while in a federal system the central govt has the power to pass laws for all states. Some examples of a unitary govt is China and the Uk, while the USA has a federal government.
